Why is it that some individuals ume and or equate being visually impaired with being blind?

I have no experience with being blind or visually impaired, however I can say that the response to your original question had nothing to do with either. It was someone who thought that it would be funny to be an at the expense of someone else. Some people just like to get their two points. Unfortunately, on yahoo, they cant weed out jerks, racists and ignoramuses!
